Jacory Harris – Coming of Age

Hurricanes QB Jacory Harris walks off the field after throwing an interception for a touchdown during Miami’s 38-34 victory over the Seminoles last week.

The mark of a winner is the ability to overcome adversity. After shaking off his numb right throwing arm, Jacory led the ‘Canes back. Harris connected with Graig Cooper for a 24-yard score to tie the game at 31, and after Florida State took the lead again on Dustin Hopkins’ 45-yard field goal with 4:11 left, Harris again responded. The ‘Canes went 59 yards in six plays, highlighted by Harris’ 40-yard pass to Travis Benjamin, and Cooper ran it in from three yards out for the eventual game-winning score.
